About Jeeva Karunya Trust

Jeeva Karunya Trust (also known as GREEN CROSS INDIA) is a grass roots level NGO dedicated to conservation. The goals of the Trust include preserving wildlife, nature, the environment and endangered species. To accomplish this they conduct literacy programs, seminars & training workshops. Other activities include tribal welfare, forest weed control & wildlife rescues. Jeeva Karunya Trust operates in and around the Erode district (State of Tamilnadu ), India, and are well recognized for their snake, and other wildlife rescue work. Every day & night they get calls from the
public, nature lovers, fire service, Forest Department, & even sometimes from the police department, concerning snakes and wild animals entering human residences by mistake. They enthusiastically respond to these calls to rescue otherwise hopeless animal species and relocate them back into the wild.

The results of their efforts are:

1. Human-animal Conflict resolution
2. Conserving the endangered species
3. Restoration of the life supporting nature
4. Snake, Anti-venom related studies, research & treatment
5. Supporting the Ecological balance
6. Educating and creating awareness among the younger generations

Jeeva Karunya Trust have been successfully executing conservation based wildlife rescues for years, through their own efforts, without any governmental or individual support.

AVRI is looking to work closely with Jeeva Karunya for the mutual support of our organizations and conservation. If you would like more information, please contact AVRI.
